New Jersey Natural Gas will hold an Energy Assistance Day near Rockaway on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Mine Hill Community Center, 12 Baker Street.
The utility says its Energy Assistance team and community action agencies will provide personal guidance on programs that may help customers manage natural gas and electricity bills. Visitors can review available resources, check eligibility and get help with the application process.
New Jersey Natural Gas asks attendees to bring current Social Security cards for all household members, proof of income for everyone age 18 and older, a mortgage and tax bill or rental lease, and recent natural gas and electricity bills.
The organizer’s current page says customers can stop by. It does not list a fee, ticket, or advance registration requirement for the Mine Hill event. No cancellation, postponement, or sold-out notice was posted as of September 10.
Rockaway residents who use New Jersey Natural Gas can review the full program information before visiting. The company also lists another Morris County assistance day in Parsippany on September 28.
