Add as a preferred sourceFamily caregivers in Rockaway Township can get practical help with burnout at a Managing Caregiver Stress program on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Rockaway Township Free Public Library main library, 61 Mount Hope Road.
The program is hosted by the Rockaway Township Division of Health and is designed for family caregivers looking after a loved one. Registration is required.
What the session covers
According to the library’s event listing, the interactive presentation will help caregivers recognize the subtle signs of burnout, explore practical coping strategies, learn about local resources and see how small moments of self care can make a difference in their own health and well being.
The presenter is Siobhan Flynn-Higgins, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Dementia Practitioner who coordinates the Caregiver Support Program at Jewish Family Service MetroWest.
How to sign up
Sign up through the Rockaway Township Free Public Library’s online events calendar, where the program is listed as Managing Caregiver Stress. Questions can go to the main library at 973-627-2344.
Rockaway Township and Rockaway Borough are separate municipalities. This program is run by the Township’s Division of Health, and the listing does not say whether it is limited to Township residents, so Rockaway Borough residents interested in attending should check with the library first.
More for caregivers this fall
The Township also has an Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia talk on Nov. 19 at the Senior Center, 19 Mount Hope Road, a hybrid session covering the difference between Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, risk factors, treatments and resources.
