Rockaway Township Municipal Utilities is performing water main upgrades on North Lake Shore Drive and White Meadow Road on Monday, June 1, 2026. Residents in that area may experience a disruption in water service between 8:30 AM and 2:30 PM.
Road closures are also expected along North Lake Shore Drive and White Meadow Road during the same window. Detours will be in place throughout the day, and the Township confirms emergency vehicle access will not be impacted by the closures.
Superintendent of Utilities Brian Shatzel announced the planned work on May 29, noting the upgrades are necessary to improve the reliability and quality of water service for residents in that part of Rockaway Township, Morris County.
