The County of Morris will begin stormwater infrastructure mapping along county roadways in Mount Olive Township starting Friday, May 22.

The mapping is being conducted by Aqualis on behalf of the county to meet requirements of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Highway Agency Permit. The work involves a field team locating and collecting GPS data for all county-owned stormwater assets, including storm drains, catch basins and outfall pipes.

The field team will consist of one company-marked vehicle and two personnel, with additional traffic control measures implemented as needed. Data collection will take place between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. and is expected to take approximately three to five days to complete.

The field team will be operating a slow-moving vehicle and may also be working on foot along county roads. Motorists are urged to exercise caution when passing the field team.

For questions or more information, contact the Morris County Division of Engineering and Transportation at 973-285-6751.
