Add as a preferred sourceSpirit Christmas, the holiday pop-up shop from the company behind Spirit Halloween, is coming back to Rockaway Township in November 2026.
The store will open in the former Party City space at 357 Mount Hope Avenue near Rockaway Townsquare, the same address where Spirit lists its Rockaway Halloween store this fall. Spirit’s official store locator shows the Rockaway Spirit Christmas location as opening soon.
Rockaway is one of four New Jersey Spirit Christmas stores planned for the 2026 season, along with Mays Landing, Marlton and Riverdale. Holiday site Your Christmas Countdown lists Nov. 6 as the expected opening date for Rockaway, as most locations switch from Halloween to Christmas in the days after Oct. 31. Spirit has not yet posted an official opening date or hours for the Rockaway store.
Spirit Christmas also operated at the same Mount Hope Avenue location during the 2025 holiday season.
According to Spirit, this year’s stores feature the Candy Cane Express, an interactive Christmas train station with animatronics such as Heat Miser and Snow Miser from The Year Without a Santa Claus, Snoopy from Peanuts and the Misfit Toys. Visitors can write a letter to Santa at an Arrivals and Departures desk. The shop also carries indoor and outdoor decorations, life-size nutcrackers, light-up holiday sweaters, pet apparel, gift wrap and party supplies.
Spirit lists 855-704-2669 as the phone number for the Rockaway store. Shoppers can watch the Spirit Christmas Rockaway store page for the confirmed opening date and hours.
The store is in Rockaway Township. Rockaway Borough is a separate municipality a short drive away, and Borough residents looking for more seasonal fun can check our Halloween events guide for both towns.
