The Rockaway Township Board of Adjustment has cancelled its regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
The township posted the cancellation notice on July 17. The announcement did not give a reason for the cancellation and did not set a replacement date in July.
The next regular scheduled Board of Adjustment meeting will be held Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at 7 p.m.
The board normally meets at 7 p.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Rockaway Township Municipal Building at 65 Mount Hope Road. As the zoning board of adjustment for the township, it reviews variance applications and appeals of zoning decisions in Rockaway Township, Morris County.
Jason Smolinski serves as chairman of the board, with James Loftus as vice chairman and Timothy Scherwa as secretary. Joseph Bell is the board attorney, David Novak of Burgis Associates is the board planner, and Peter Ten Kate of Boswell Engineering is the board engineer.
Agendas are posted before each meeting, and minutes become available after the board approves them.
Residents planning to attend the August 4 meeting, or property owners preparing an application, can find meeting dates, agendas, minutes, and the board’s application form on the Board of Adjustment page of the township website. The Rockaway Township zoning office can be reached at 973-983-2814.
