Two Rockaway Township land use boards have cancelled their August meetings, according to notices the township posted on August 10, 2026.
The Rockaway Township Planning Board will not meet on Monday, August 17, 2026 as originally scheduled. Its next meeting is set for Monday, September 14, 2026 at 7:30 p.m.
The Rockaway Township Board of Adjustment, the municipality’s zoning board, has cancelled its meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, 2026. That board will next meet on Tuesday, September 1, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.
The cancellations mean residents who planned to attend, track a pending application, or speak on a development or zoning question will need to wait until the September dates. The township did not announce a reason for either cancellation.
Both boards shape how land is used across the Morris County community. The Planning Board reviews items such as subdivisions and site plans, while the Board of Adjustment hears variance and appeal requests. Their meetings are open to the public.
Rockaway residents are encouraged to check the township’s official calendar and news announcements for agendas and any further changes before the September meetings.
