Add as a preferred sourceYoung dinosaur fans can get up close with rare fossils at the Rockaway Township Free Public Library’s Dinosaur Adventure Show on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. at the Main Library, 61 Mount Hope Road.
The program is for children ages 5 and up, and registration is required, according to the library’s event listing.
What to expect
Presenters Mike and Roberta are returning for another “Dinovember” program. They will talk about how they became interested in science and what the work of a scientist looks like. The show features an Albertosaurus skull, a smaller relative of Tyrannosaurus rex, along with audience participation, a touch of magic and show and tell with rare fossils.
How to register
Because space is limited, the library asks families bringing more than one child to register each child separately. Sign up through the library’s online events calendar or call the Main Library at 973-627-2344.
More for families at the library
The library’s November calendar also includes a Family Jam with Miss Jolie and Mr. Jay for ages 2 and up on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at 6 p.m. at the Main Library, with registration required. The Hibernia Branch, 419 Green Pond Road, hosts a Wednesday Drop-In Craft with crafts, games, puzzles and LEGO, including Wednesday, Nov. 4, from 3:15 to 5:15 p.m. No registration is needed; call 973-627-6872 for details.
The Rockaway Township Free Public Library serves Rockaway Township. Rockaway Borough has its own library, which is hosting a book folding workshop the same day.
