Add as a preferred sourceRockaway Township will hold its inaugural Town-Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The township says the event will take place rain or shine. Residents who want to host a sale must register and make a $10 donation. The official form says the money collected will be distributed to the Historical Society of Rockaway Township.
Registered participants will receive an official lawn sign to display during the sale. Sellers must be set up by 8 a.m., though the form says they may continue past 3 p.m. at their own discretion.
Residents of apartments, condominiums and other multifamily properties must receive approval from their landlord or property manager before participating. The township plans to promote the sale through its website, social media channels and local firehouses, if approved.
The registration form contains conflicting deadline information. It lists Tuesday, September 15 near the top, but later says completed forms and fees were due before September 8. Residents should confirm that registration is still available with Rockaway Township before submitting a form or payment.
The municipal event listing remained active on September 12.
