Rockaway Borough has canceled the regular Mayor and Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2026, at 6:30 p.m.

The borough posted the formal legal notice on August 20. Acting Municipal Clerk Michael Kazimir issued the notice, which does not state a reason for the cancellation or announce a replacement date.

The cancellation also appears on the Rockaway Borough homepage and municipal meetings schedule. Residents who planned to attend should remove the August 27 meeting from their calendars.

The notice applies only to the Mayor and Council session. The borough website continues to list a Land Use Board meeting for Wednesday, August 26, at 7 p.m. and another Land Use Board meeting for Tuesday, September 1, at 7 p.m.

Rockaway Borough residents can monitor the municipal website’s legal notices and meeting calendar for further schedule changes. The borough offices are at 1 East Main Street in Rockaway, Morris County, New Jersey.
