The Morris County 4-H Fair returns to High View Farms in Mount Olive from Friday, July 24 through Sunday, July 26, 2026, giving Rockaway families a short drive to one of the county’s biggest summer traditions.
The fair runs Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at High View Farms, 416 Sand Shore Road. Admission is free, and a $5 per car donation is suggested for parking. A free hayride shuttle carries visitors from the general lot to the fair area.
Put on each year by Morris County 4-H, part of Rutgers Cooperative Extension, the fair showcases the work of local youth members. Visitors can meet 4-H animals including goats, poultry, rabbits, guinea pigs, dogs, and reptiles, and watch animal shows, judging, and quiz bowls across the weekend. The Barn holds open exhibits of art, photography, science, needlework, horticulture, and crafts.
There is plenty for kids, too. Monster truck rides are $10 per rider and the farm tour hayride is $5, while the Children’s Fun Station offers free STEM, craft, and yard game activities led by 4-H members and volunteers. Food trucks, live music, face painting, and a country store round out the days. This year’s theme is “Color the World with 4-H.”
Organizers ask visitors to leave pets at home, since only 4-H project animals and official service dogs are allowed on the grounds. Full schedule details are posted on the Morris County 4-H website.
