Add as a preferred sourceLooking for a farmers market in Rockaway NJ? Here is the short answer: neither Rockaway Borough nor Rockaway Township runs a public farmers market of its own. The good news is that several of Morris County’s best markets are a short drive away, starting next door in Denville, and a few year-round farm stands sit close to town.

This guide lists only markets and farm stands we confirmed on official market, town, farm or state sources. Days and hours below are the published 2026 schedules where available. Markets skip dates, close for weather and change seasons, so check before you go using the link for each one.
Does Rockaway have its own farmers market?
- Rockaway Borough: We found no public farmers market on the Borough’s website or on current county and state market listings.
- Rockaway Township: We found no public Township farmers market on the Township’s website or on current county and state market listings. The private Green Pond lake community in the Township has hosted a Friday farmers market behind the Green Pond Community House at 5 Dawson Drive, but the farm that runs it lists it as for Green Pond residents only, so it is not open to the public.
For local fall outings, Rockaway Townsquare hosts food events such as Foodees Fest, but that is a food festival, not a farmers market. See our things to do in Rockaway NJ guide for more ideas close to home.

- Bring reusable bags and some cash. Payment options vary by vendor.
- Go early for the best selection, and later for end-of-day deals.
- Many New Jersey markets and farm stands take WIC and Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program checks and SNAP at participating vendors. The state’s Find Jersey Fresh directory lets you search markets and farms that accept them.
