The Rockaway Township Planning Board meets Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, at 7:30 p.m. at the Municipal Building, 65 Mt. Hope Road, with two proposed land use ordinances and two public hearings on the agenda.

The board will review Ordinance O-26-32, which would amend Township rules for undersized lots in the R-20AC, R-5AC, and R-88 zoning districts, and Ordinance O-26-33, which would amend the rules for corner lots. Both changes fall under Chapter 54, the Township land use and development code. The Township Council listed both for introduction at its Oct. 13 meeting, and the acting Township clerk referred them to the board on Oct. 15.

Under New Jersey land use law, the board has 35 days after a referral to send the governing body a report flagging anything in a proposed ordinance that is inconsistent with the master plan. The board has consistency review memos on both ordinances from planning firm Burgis Associates, dated Oct. 15.

Two applications are set for public hearings. Blooming Dental and Implant Center, at 321 Mt. Hope Ave., Unit Q, is seeking minor site plan approval with a “C” variance. A lot line adjustment for 13 and 15 Colonial Road, listed as DiGiovanni/Patterson, will also be heard.

The board is also expected to act on a resolution for Denville Line Painting at 501 Ford Road, a minor site plan with a “C” variance. The meeting includes a public comment period.
