Add as a preferred sourceThe Rockaway Borough Historical Committee Museum will open to the public Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 1 to 3 p.m. at 199 West Main Street in Rockaway Borough.
The museum is next to Donatoni Park and normally opens on the fourth Sunday of each month. The September 27 date is the first listed public open house after the museum’s July and August appointment-only schedule.
The Historical Committee says the museum preserves Rockaway Borough’s historical, cultural and educational heritage. Its current displays include research materials, patent applications and technical drawings donated by Borough resident Bob Comer, an engineer who worked at Reaction Motors during the early space race.
The museum also offers Rockaway historical maps, books, ornaments, mugs and other commemorative items.
Additional 2026 public open house dates are scheduled for October 25, November 29 and December 20. The official page does not list an admission price or advance registration requirement. Questions can be sent to rockborohistorical@gmail.com.
