Morris Hills Regional School District has opened the 2026-2027 School Meals and Summer EBT application for families in Rockaway Borough, Rockaway Township, Denville and Wharton.

The district is directing families to its online application portal. New Jersey’s Office of the Food Security Advocate says households should complete the application every school year, even if they qualified before or their school provides free meals to all students.

The combined form helps determine eligibility for free or reduced-price school meals and Summer EBT. Some children receive Summer EBT automatically through programs such as SNAP, TANF, income-qualified Medicaid or foster care. Other families may need to submit the school district application.

Summer EBT helps eligible families buy groceries when children lose access to school meals during summer break. The state also advises families to keep their mailing address current with the school because benefit cards are not forwarded.

Paper applications are available through schools for families who do not use the online portal. Morris Hills Regional District serves Rockaway Borough and Rockaway Township, along with Denville and Wharton.
