Morris County’s Living History Weekend will run Friday, September 25, through Sunday, September 27, 2026, in Morristown, giving Rockaway residents a nearby way to explore Revolutionary War history through live programs and tours.
The weekend opens Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. with Morris County history trivia at Glenbrook Brewery.
On Saturday, reenactors, historic figures, a militia, medical and weaponry exhibits, and a silhouette artist will be on the Morristown Green from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Macculloch Hall Historical Museum, Sansay House, and the Presbyterian Church in Morristown will offer programs, exhibits, talks, and tours from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The schedule concludes Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. during the Morristown Festival on the Green. A special History Corridor will feature Morris County historic sites and organizations.
The event is presented by the Morris County 250th Anniversary Celebrations Committee, Morris County Board of County Commissioners, Morris County Tourism Bureau, and F. M. Kirby Foundation with community partners.
