Rockaway Borough and Rockaway Township are teaming up for a Two Town Yard Sale on Saturday, September 12, 2026, giving residents across both communities a single day to clear out their closets and shop their neighbors’ driveways.

The sale runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with participating households setting up in their own driveways in both the Borough and the Township. Registration is required, and the $10 donation to take part benefits the Rockaway Borough and Rockaway Township Historical Societies.

Residents register in their own town. Once signed up, each address is added to the event so shoppers can map out a route across the two Rockaways in Morris County and hit sales in both towns on the same morning without leaving the area.

Organizers say the proceeds will support the work of both historical societies, which preserve local landmarks, records, and the shared history of the Rockaway area. Anyone hoping to sell should register before the event to be included, and details and the registration form are available through the Rockaway Township and Rockaway Borough websites.

Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 12, and plan to spend the morning hunting for deals while supporting two organizations that keep Rockaway’s history alive.
