Rockaway News covers Rockaway Borough and Rockaway Township in Morris County, New Jersey. These are the standards every story on this site is held to.
What We Cover
Local government, schools, public safety, community events, local business, sports and the Morris County news that affects Rockaway residents. We do not publish political endorsements.
How We Report
- We lead with the facts residents need: what, when, where and why it matters.
- Dates, times, addresses, names and figures are checked against official or first-hand sources, such as municipal and county websites, school districts, police releases and event organizers, before publishing.
- We link directly to the source page whenever one exists so readers can check it themselves.
- Stories are published under the Rockaway News Staff byline.
Police and Court Coverage
Criminal charges are accusations. Anyone charged with a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law, and our police stories say so.
Advertising and Partners
Advertising keeps Rockaway News free to read. Advertisers do not decide what we cover. Paid features are labeled as sponsored or partner content.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, we fix it. Email info@rockawaynews.com with the article link and what needs correcting. Significant corrections are noted at the bottom of the updated story.
