The best local stories start with a neighbor who noticed something. If it is happening in Rockaway Borough or Rockaway Township, we want to hear about it.
What We Are Looking For
- Events: fundraisers, church and school events, library programs, sports signups and grand openings.
- News: road work, new businesses, closings, town decisions, anything neighbors are talking about.
- Good news: student achievements, milestone birthdays and anniversaries, local teams and volunteers worth celebrating.
- Press releases: from schools, police, fire, first aid squads, nonprofits and businesses.
- Photos: photos you took yourself, with the name you want credited.
What to Include
- What is happening, in a sentence or two
- The date, time and full address
- Cost or registration details, if any
- A flyer, photo or link to the official page
- Your name and a way to reach you (we will not publish it unless you say so)
What Happens Next
Every tip is checked against official sources before anything is published. We cannot run every submission, but we read them all. Events that check out are added to the Rockaway Events Calendar. If you would like to stay anonymous, tell us and we will not publish your name.
