Rockaway Township will host a free PAS-1 tax benefits session on Thursday, September 3, 2026, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Rockaway Township Senior Center, 19 Mount Hope Road in Rockaway.
The Township’s official flyer identifies Thai Nguyen as the presenter and asks residents to register by calling 973-983-2848. The Township’s Community Services listing also asks attendees to bring their Blue Book.
PAS-1 is New Jersey’s combined application for three property tax relief programs: Senior Freeze, ANCHOR and Stay NJ. The New Jersey Division of Taxation says eligible seniors and certain Social Security or Railroad Retirement disability benefit recipients can use one PAS-1 application to be considered for those programs.
The state’s filing deadline for the 2025 PAS-1 application is Monday, November 2, 2026. Applications may be filed online or on paper. Eligibility requirements vary by program, so residents should review the state guidance or use the Rockaway session to ask questions about the application.
As of August 28, the Township’s live calendar and current flyer list the session as scheduled and free, with no cancellation, postponement or sold-out notice.
