Rockaway Township’s free Summer Concert Series has three Sunday shows left, and every one is free to attend. The concerts run from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Park Lake Gazebo, 8 Mount Hope Road in Rockaway, and continue every Sunday through August 30, 2026, weather permitting.

The series is presented by the Township of Rockaway, and the Recreation Department has booked a slate of local cover bands playing classic rock, oldies, and party favorites. Jersey Sound takes the gazebo on Sunday, August 16 with old favorites to dance to. The 4 Man Trio follows on Sunday, August 23 with popular rock and roll, and Kings Road Band closes out the summer on Sunday, August 30 with a mix of pop and rock.

Admission and parking are free. Seating is not provided, so bring a lawn chair or a blanket and settle in by the lake. The setting is stroller and family friendly, and it pairs easily with an early dinner in downtown Rockaway.

There is no rain date built into the schedule, so shows go on weather permitting. The Township’s recreation hotline at 973-983-2853 is updated only when a concert is canceled or changed, so residents are encouraged to check it before heading out on an uncertain afternoon.

The gazebo concerts are one of the last free outdoor music offerings of the season in this part of Morris County, and they give Rockaway residents an easy, no-cost way to close out summer with live music by the water.
